Oct. 5: Rodney "I get no respect" Dangerfield died on this date in 2004 at the age of 82.

Born Jacob Cohen, Rodney was a comedian, actor, and yes. a recording star. He is best known for the catchphrases "I don't get no respect" or "I get no respect" and his monologues built around that theme, including jokes about a fictitious wife. When he performed he always tugged at his shirt collar.
